The 2A Region 3 has some prospects hiding in south central Georgia this year of note.  In a region with only five teams, there is some good college level talent of note, and a pair of stars that are making some serious noise in the state this year with their performances.  With some great guards and perimeter players in the region this year, there is no shortage of star power in 2A Region 3, and read below to see the breakdown for the teams.

The 2A Region 2 out of the Macon area has six teams this year.  With two teams that are stacked with talent at the top, there are still four teams vying for those two other spots remaining in the state tournament.  With college level talent from top to bottom throughout the region, things could get interesting as teams battle their way into the state tournament.  Read below to see the breakdown for the Macon area 2A region.

The 3A Region 8 might be the region with the most depth to it this year.  All six teams in the region have a solid guy or two  to make them a potential qualifier for one of those highly coveted four spots in the state tournament.   With scholarship players across the region, there is bound to be some drama down the stretch in the 3A region of Northeast Georgia.  Read below to see the breakdown of the region this year.

The 3A Region 7 may not have a bonafide division one calibur player this year, but there are a lot of solid competitive teams in the region.  Just about anyone could knock off anyone this year in the region and every game truly will matter.  There are some definite diamonds on the rough as well that can definitely play at the next level somewhere that are hiding in Northwest Georgia.  Read below to see the region breakdown for 3A Region 7 in Georgia.

The 3A Region 5 has some of the states top talent in 3A this year.  The Cedar Grove Saints are a nationally recognized team, but with three other spots up for grabs in the state tournament from the region, there’s a lot to sort out before the postseason and a number of college level guys in the region that have something to prove.  Read below to see the breakdown for 3A Region 5 in the Atlanta Metropolitan region.

Some of the top teams in the entire state of Georgia got together Saturday for the Grayson New Years Classic.  18 teams from the state were in the building making for some jam packed and talent filled games.  Nine games throughout the day was capped off with a rematch from the 7A state championship game from last year between the host Rams and McEachern in an environment that’s about as good as it gets in high school basketball.  Read below to see a recap of all of the teams & games, top player performances, and the All-Showcase Team from the day.

The 3A Region 3 is the infamous Savannah, Georgia region.  A region built on rivalries, history, and tough physical play.  This region has generated a number of state championship teams and contenders over the years and this year is no different with some teams looking to push.  With a number of scholarship players in the region, there is a ton of parity this year and just about anyone can beat anyone at any moment.  Read below to see how it breaks down this year in Savannah for 3A Region 3.

The 3A Region 2 is home of the two time defending state champions from Sandy Creek.  The Patriots are once again in contention for the title, but the region has some bonafide challengers this year who have something to say as the region has a lot of players who have offers to play somewhere at the next level already.  Read below to see the breakdown for 3A region 2 and see how things could play out.

The infamous Lemon Street Classic at Marietta High School tipped off on Friday, December 27th and it was absolutely jam packed with talent this year.  This year’s field features 30 teams from three different countries including Canada and the Bahamas.  I covered the event on day one and day three, but by Monday’s end, I had seen all 30 teams in person this season from the event at some point.  There was a remarkable amount of talent in Marietta, Georgia over the weekend and this is a can’t miss read loaded with talent from the 2025 all the way down through the 2029 class even.  Read below to see my breakdown of all 30 teams and the player rankings from the weekend from the 30 teams who played in the event.

This Friday was the Lambert High School Santa Jam featuring ten teams from around the Atlanta area.  There was plenty of great talent and competitive games throughout the day.  There was plenty of college level talent in the building, some familiar names and even a few new names worth checking out.  Read below to see what players stood out at the Santa Jam and check out the All-Showcase team as well.
